About This Picture:
For those in bondage to the letter of the law "make no graven image," we don't claim this to be an actual image of Jesus, just a picture to get a point across to those expecting to see a picture of another man. Please keep in mind "The letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life." 2 Corinthians 3:6

Our Senior Pastor

(Chief Shepherd)

There is no such thing as a "Senior Pastor" mentioned anywhere in the bible, only a Chief Shepherd which refers to Jesus, and Him alone.  "Senior" Pastor is a title that was made up by men in an effort to establish a hierarchical nicolaitan corporate structure. The Church of Houston is patterned after the first century church which did not set up a high priest in charge in every fellowship, only elders (five fold ministers) to provide oversight.  Believers aligning themselves with a "senior pastor" invariably results in their practicing idolatry.  Church of Houston believers only worship the Chief Shepherd -- the senior pastor has left the premises.

Matthew 23:8-19: But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.  Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

1 Peter 5:1-3: The elders which are among you I exhort...Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.  And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
